Returning

Hi everyone! My name is Carlos and this will be my second year at Camp Ballibay. My first summer in 2024 was one of the most enriching experiences of my life—from discovering a new country to meeting amazing friends, immersing myself in a new culture, and learning something new every day. I’ll be returning to the maintenance team this year, a role I truly enjoy because I love fixing things and I now know the camp quite well. This time, I’m excited to learn even more, share what I’ve learned with others, and—why not?—make even more friends.

Professional Bio:
Hello! My name is Carlos Abraham, and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Applied Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, with the goal of becoming a Physical Engineer. My academic journey is driven by a deep curiosity about how the world works—but just as importantly, by a desire to connect with others through shared passions and meaningful experiences. Beyond the classroom, I’ve been involved in youth groups where I lead physical activity sessions, especially focused on calisthenics—a sport I love for its blend of strength, control, and connection with the outdoors. I’m also part of local hiking clubs, which help me stay grounded and connected with nature. Lately, I’ve been learning how to teach beginners about exercise with proper technique and motivation. My goal is to help others fall in love with movement and outdoor life. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills, empathy, and leadership. After a transformative experience at Camp Ballibay last summer, I’ve come to value open conversations and genuine curiosity. I’ve learned how to truly listen, understand different perspectives, and grow from every interaction. This summer, I’m looking forward to learning new artistic skills—like playing drums, acting, or singing—with the amazing and talented people that make Ballibay such a special place. I’m excited to grow, contribute, and keep becoming a better version of myself.
