It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to suspend operation of Camp Ballibay for summer 2020. Sadly, this year it is both impossible and arguably unwise to gather together on Ballibay mountain in our usual celebration of nature, creativity, and individuality.
As much as we all were looking forward to camp, and needing a change of pace after these months of isolation, in the final analysis of all the facts, recommendations, and expert advice, it was not sufficiently clear to us that we could ensure that camp would the safe and secure environment that we hoped. The health and safety of our camp community is always our top priority, and we could not in good conscience move forward with this summer with the level of uncertainty we, and even our most expert advisors, still held about the ongoing crisis.
We look forward to an exceptional summer of 2021, when we will rejoice in gathering together again with confidence, joy, and creative energy.
Many thanks for your ongoing support of Camp Ballibay, and the many kind messages, wonderful testimonials, and great conversations we have had during this crisis. We will miss caring for your children this summer, and look forward to seeing you in 2021.
