This is my first summer working at Ballibay and I am very excited to be a part of the team. I am an artist, mother, queer, neurodivergent human who has spent my life looking for spaces and places to deep dive into a creative practice that is woven into to the daily work of being human in community. I seek out safe spaces that honor different bodies, different minds and different ways of making things. When I stepped onto campus last summer to dropping my own child at camp, I could tell that Ballibay was exactly this sort if space. So it feels pretty dreamy to roll up my sleeves to make some weird, messy, provocative, beautiful, magical art with the campers. I hope to share my particular approach to creative practice as a place of solace, regulation, connection and belonging. I believe these tools can keep us safe and make a difference in the world.
